Now if you try to stream it to a webserver, GStreamer will try to load the webcam driver, but since it failed to connect to the camera, it will fail. To overcome this, you need to manually load the webcam driver, so you can stream to a webserver.
It will display the camera image on the display connected to the GPU. If you don't have one connected, it will just display a black image. However, you should see a greenish blue image if the camera is working, if not, then please report the problem.
If you want to stream via an IP address instead of directly to a webserver, you'll need to use TCP. Add the -tcp flags to GstPipeline, and then use -f tcp SRC-IP-ADDRESS-PORT or -f tcp SRC-HOST-NAME-PORT. So if the camera IP is 192.168.3.50 and the port is 8888, the pipeline will be:
Currently, the plugin does not seem to work well with the webcam. Some frames are captured while the webcam is not receiving an image, and this causes the camera to go into sleep mode. To avoid this problem, simply disable the camera in the Settings > Config page. We plan to improve the plugin further in the future.
Once the camera is installed on your Jetson Nano you'll need to do a bit of configuration. Go to the Settings > Config page and select the Gstreamer Common tab. This will open a list of options that you can adjust. Once you've configured your camera you will need to restart the Jetson Nano to take effect.
We've tested this plugin with our Mektek Laptop 4 High Density LCD display module , but it should work with any similar module. Once installed all video frames on the Jetson Nano will be captured by the camera. In our sample configuration, a 640x480 frame is captured at 30 fps.
